Carol joined the Matheis team in January 2006 as Administrative Services Representative.

She is responsible for managing and  client service for the Group Retirement Programs. Carol's main role is to fully assist the individual planning team, in such areas as Insurance and Funds, while providing complete service to our individual clients.

Having obtained her Honours B.A. from Queen’s University in 1984, Carol took an Accounting Diploma at Shaw College the following year before moving into the pension field. She completed her Canadian Securities course in 1987. More recently, Carol acquired her Canadian Investment Funds Course (IFIC) designation in November 2007, and in May 2008 successfully obtained her Life License.

With more than ten years of experience in the corporate pension environment, Carol began her career working on defined contribution plans in a recordkeeping capacity before moving into the defined benefit area.  Her career has seen her move from the administering and valuing plans, to working with financials, to supervisory and client services. To round out her pension understanding, she has had experience working in a corporate pension investment environment.

When Carol is not spending time with her family and friends, she enjoys golf, yoga, participating in team sports, baking, home preserving, and enjoying the backyard pool.
